CEO William Yang has shown his confidence in the company by scooping up his firstholdings in Medtecs shares.
AS nations struggled to deal with the Covid-19 crisis earlier this year, Medtecs InternationalCorp - a Singapore-listed maker of surgical masks, medical coveralls and isolation gowns -was turning away orders for its products.

Medtecs Group announced on 11 August 2020 its half-year financial results for the period ended 30 June 2020.

The Group’s revenue increased significantly by 390.5% from US$33.2 million in 1H19 to US$162.6 million in 1H20 from increase in demand of personal protective apparels due to the COVID-19 global pandemic; which also raised awareness on healthcare products and led to increase in sales from our existing customers. The Group’s net profit after tax increased by 9,975.9% from US$386,000 in 1H19 to US$38,893,000 in 1H20 due to higher sales, higher profit margins and foreign exchange gains.

It has come to our attention that a few unscrupulous vendors have been offering and distributing Medtecs branded coveralls without our knowledge. We have received quite a numbers of calls from concerned customers who unwittingly bought these coveralls which have long passed their expiration date.

We wish to clarify as follows:

(1) These coveralls are being offered without Medtecs’ authorization or consent. Our preliminary investigation reveals that these vendors had acquired our products illegally.

(2) These coveralls’ packaging (see photo below) is not the current style used by Medtecs and bears no relation to Medtecs.

(3) This incident has been reported to the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control. The offenders will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

(4) Medtecs cannot guarantee the effectiveness or quality of these expired coveralls. We urge those who have purchased these products not to use them at all for safety reasons.
